OSC Answers Questions

QUESTION: I was wondering, if during or before the process of writing Ender's Game you consulted research on the behavioral science of highly gifted (or, perhaps the word "brilliant" will suffice) children to supplement your ideas. It appears that you have painted a remarkably accurate picture and I am interested in how you were able to do this.

I did not conduct any research prior to writing Ender's Game, either as a story or as a novel. I simply drew on the combination of memory, previous reading, and intuition that novelists rely on most of the time.
