The other thread reminded me of a project my friend did with his class when he was student teaching.

The world is falling apart and you have to hop in a spaceship, you only have time to grab 20 things. What are those twenty.

  1. Clothes
  2. My Bible
  3. My Acoustic Guitar
  4. Knives
  5. Laptop
  6. A dufflebag with a few select books in it.
  7. My chess set
  8. My art kit (mechanical pencil, leads and erasers and a couple of different sized pads)
  9. Flashlight
  10. A roll of duct tape
  11. Turkey Jerky (Just in case)
  12. Batteries, lots and lots of batteries.
  13. iPod
  14. Winter Coat
  15. Boots
  16. Needles and thread
  17. Fishing hooks and line
  18. A lighter
  19. A canteen
  20. A brush

The first thing I'd grab would be my eyeglasses...after that the list varies considerably.
