Just read his first two Honor Harrington books. I thought they were fun but haven't decided how good they were, if that makes any sense. I know he's working off the Horatio Hornblower books (which I love), which may be skewing my perceptions.

Anybody else have an opinion?

I love those. Both Honor and Hornblower.
