As for me:
DUAL MAGICS SERIES: As time permits, go through the x-ray listings for the Dual Magics boxed set and THE BARD'S GIFT. This is here to remind me that eventually I need to get back to this.
BECOME: TO CATCH THE LIGHTNING/BECOME: TO RIDE THE STORM: Promote through social media. I now have two books on social media marketing. So . . . I need to schedule some time to read them. Some.
MAGE STORM: On hold. Easy one.
DAUGHTER OF THE REBEL MAGE (working title): Keep writing. Nope. I hate writers' block!

What were your goals last week and did you accomplish them?
To progress:
(1) the novel manuscript roughly at one Chapter per day. Chapter 23 was finished and Chapters 24 and 25 were added.
(2) submitting "Princessstories", using the characters in the novel, for publication. Accomplished. Mozart's Ghost was submitted to 4 additional magazines or anthologies.
Describe what you worked on.
Novel: I spent half the week finishing Chapter 23 which turned out to be quite long, covering three months of the Princess' life (October-December 2025) both her preparation of two Christmas videopacks and the "ICT War" against the Guatemalan military government. Thus, it was like two Chapters. Chapter 24 just covered "The Princess And The President" having lunch at the White House and was done about two hours. Chapter 25 was longish and may turn out to be the most important Chapter in the book: this is the Global Times zine's cover story on the Princess, not so much about her but arguing that she is both a product of the new ICT and a trailblazer in using it to change geopolitical facts. This is one of the major themes of the book. I am a little behind time but the next few Chapters about 2026 will not be so long or complex.
Princesstories: Mozart's Ghost was submitted to 4 additional magazines or anthologies.
Set goals for next week.
Novel: Chapters 26 - 32 starting the year 2026.
Stories: Submit Mozart's Ghost to 2 more publications and then start submitting "Princess On The Warpath".
Did you learn something during this week?
In a way, I learned what my book was about. The first Part was pure entertainment: the funny little girl with the funny songs and the funny outfits. That is what I set out to write. Yet, when I got to the Global Times zine cover story, I realised that the whole book is about the power of the internet and social media. I learned that the Princess is just a product and a means for that, as argued by Global Times.

Of course, the best way to find out, making your own judgment, because even as the writer I may be wrong in how I perceive it, is to read Chapter 25. I am quite happy to send it to you and read anything you have been writing lately for comment. Even if I get a 1,000 page diatribe about that some 12 pages, maybe I will have deserved it for offering.
Also, you are most welcome to grill the little lass on Character Interviews, which is a function I had hoped to revive here. I'd love to see you two match wits.
The Global Times' tone was very objective and professional, as one would expect of the most renowned current affairs zine on the ICT. Global Times were not praising the Princess or the ICT, nor were they slagging either. They were saying, basically, "Look at what happened this year: the ICT created a star who could never have been a star even ten years ago and then that star used the ICT to upend the Guatemalan military government with it. And she's only 9 years old!"
Perhaps the conclusion of the Global Times article best presents the answer to your question, that can be done in an excerpt: [I had already archived the Chapter but, just for you, I went to my Cloud to fetch it]
"The Liberation Kid needled and sang and cried and raised her fist and pushed the world into a confrontation with the Guatemalan military regime, which the regime is now losing. Thus, when Guatemalan teens and resistance fighters call the little Latin pianist ‘Patoja Liberadora’, ‘the Liberator Kid’, it is not just a handle: it is a geopolitical fact.
Yet that is not really her power, but the power of the new ICT. Another trail has been blazed and it is there for anyone in the world, even a child, to follow.
