I've been away from these forums for a long time, but I've been busy while I've been gone.
I began writing short stories, back in 2008, to be told around a bonfire; stories with the elements of myth and legend, explaining things like how the moon came to be in the sky, why trees change color in the waning of the year, and who crafted the first snowflake.
Three stories became ten, and ten became twenty-five. In 2011, while attending FaerieCon East in Baltimore, MD, I met an artist (Spectrum gold-medalist Cory Godbey) whose style was a perfect match for the feel of my stories. We collaborated on an illustrated collection of the first eleven stories, ran a very successful Kickstarter campaign to get the word out, and published the book in 2014.
Tales From the Wilder Forest is now available on Amazon, in both Kindle and paperback formats.
Cory and I are now in the beginning stages of planning a second collection.

Thank you! Seeing the book in print was a huge rush, as was returning to FaerieCon East this past autumn, back where it all began (so to speak) and signing copies for people. It made it all seem very much more real.
