I haven't posted here in a while, because my teaching load has kept me busy, but I did want to let all of you who gave me so much good advice and encouragement that I sold a short "Probability Zero" story to Analog. Stan rejected the story -- then wrote back asking for another look. Then he wrote saying he couldn't use it at that time and asked permission to keep it in case a slot opened up, permission I was glad to give. Then, a week or so ago, I got a contract in the mail.
Just to keep you up to date, so far in 2008 I've got 21 stories out at 21 different markets. Three have been rejected and sent out again. One sold.
