It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.
I finished the second short story I needed to draft, just under the 5k limit. Since then, I've been working on revisions for Possession, the sequel to my published novel. I'm hoping to have that finished by the end of next week so I can send it off to my editor. That needs to move along as I've announced a pub date for that book. Deadlines do encourage work, right?
I also had a few new story ideas turn up and did a few blog posts.
That's about it for me. What about you? Did you write?

I can say with confidence that I had one of the best writing weeks I've had in years. After the computer problems were past and the new word processing software, things really picked up. I worked one thosand words a day, fifteen hundred, two thousand...and Sunday, in a combination of middle-of-the-night insomnia and new ideas bubbling up, I managed a full and sensational seven thousand words durning the course of the day. I finished one thing I was working on, then went past the ending of the next thing because the ideas kept coming and it felt too good to stop.
Not that I'm saying anything I've been writing is good, mind you. They're somewhat formless and need some sharp editing...but it feels so good I'm going to carry on as is for a while. (At least till my vacation ends---Wednesday night---and work-that-pays takes over my time.)

No writing. It bugs me. I lose time on some evenings and catching up eats my writing time. we have a three day weekend this weekend and I won't have time to write then either.
