The sixth sense essential for writing is emotional feeling. Feeling is often expressed by narrator or character attitude. Lack of emotional feeling is an underlying presentation of psychopaths. As a magical ability, the sixth sense could be used for betterment or villainry, could be used for many analogies to the human condition. This prompt and your other five sensory ability prompts incite much thought; however, one requirement I believe is necessary: the magical sensory ability must concretely relate to the human condition in order to be accessible by audiences. A character who can sense emotional feeling about ultraviolet might not mean much of anything to readers.

My 1st 'superpower' is that I always know what direction north is, even in the dark. Is it useful? Not really. My 2nd is I always know what time it is to within 5 minutes. Again, not as useful as it might be because I really don't care what time it is.

I just checked the link. I 'race' motorcycles as a hobby. So, I suppose I'd have to admit to being well endowed in the area of proprioception -- and all the related areas.
I only mention this because I suffered a concussion on 28 Feb this year with retrograde amnesia. I couldn't remember how it happened and 45 minutes of my life has disappeared. I was walking, talking and making phone calls, but I can't remember any of it.
The other side effect was that my proprioception was severely affected and didn't return until the middle of October.

Heh... were we separated at birth?
But now I'm wondering (I must have been in the mood to wonder about such things today!) about magic that relies on timing, in a world where clocks don't work.
