I have a side project going on - children books. Mostly because I have a friend who wanted to write them, but didn't have the motivation so I am working with them, because I am always excited about writing. Its a good match. My question is when querying do you think it would be best to put both of our names or just one?
We may come up with a fake name eventually but our real names are important for the query? Both or one? How does this work with 2 authors?

I was told you always query with your real name(s). The thing that will be signed on the dotted line and the checks made out to. Pen names and stuff like that can wait until further along in the publication process.

Well if you want to cut the other author out of the deal I say leave them out of the query. I doubt you want to do that though, so yes put both of your names.
