Another week in which to brag about your accomplishments, cry about your failures, and otherwise tell about what is going on in your life. This subject is a place to report about how you have done during the past week in your writing. The plan is for you to see that this note is going to show up each week, and you use that as a prompt to sit down and write, anything, just write, so you can report in the note that you did write. As to what is writing, that is much up to opinion. I usually post a list of things that passes as writing. I am running late so I will skip the list today. Just check last week's note to see some suggestions.
As for me, I shamefully admit that I did not write this week. I will give my excuses as soon as I invent them. The only thing I can point to is that on the two days I usually can write, I left early to work on some important woodworking projects. Friday, especially, I planned to stay home and work around the house, and to write and sleep, and instead decided to make a custom gift for the daughters of my dear friend who died last weekend.
I am keeping up on my story ideas. I did come up with a bunch of new ideas this week. My compost pile has 39 story ideas in it. Some fairly new ones on the very top. Several of the last story ideas have run into four pages. Those are always fun to write. Long three pages are also a sign of a fun idea. Usually, when they get onto page four, I do add the word counts.
On the woodworking front, I decided I was going to make some vases for my friend's daughter. I had to hunt for the right wood, but found it. I started making the vases, things were going good. I then ran into problems. In wood turning, one attachment we have is a chuck which grips the wood on what is called a tenon. The tenon is simply formed on the end of the wood so the chuck can catch hold. I had a bit of bad luck and broke and reformed the tenon on one vase three times. That is never a good sign. The two pieces rough shaped pieces of wood for the vases was from the same log. When I ended the day, the one with the problems was a whole lot smaller than the other. The next day, I spent the day helping my mom with her garden. we removed the weeds that passed for a lawn, and laid down some mulch to allow us to walk through the garden without getting seeds in our socks. Sunday, I got an idea. I have done several carved plates recently. I decided I would take two plates I had already made. I have carved the lettering in about her memory. I will apply pictures of her on the plates to finish them up. This is working better than the vases were.
AS to the question of the week, NO, I DID NOT WRITE.

Yes, I did. I made some progress on Book Two. I continued polishing Book One. I worked on the query and the synopsis.
I even swallowed hard and sent off six queries today. I've already gotten my first rejection back. And I survived.
Oh, and I finally got some world building done for Dreamer's Rose. I'm getting a much better idea of where that story takes place. And I really like it.

Although I have not done any writing for my novel I have been doing some good characterization for my antagonist. This process has presented some interesting plot options that I will explore when I get back to the outlining phase.
The only writing I have done would be on my blog, describing the processes I have been working with the last week. I want to write a couple times a week on that so I can look back when this novel is finished as a reminder of what worked and what didn't for me.
Overall, I'm happy with what I have accomplished so far.

I've made some progress on my fanfictions at another site while continuing my synopsis on my original fictions. It's a very slow and steady process.

Well, if we get to count everything we wrote since May 5th...!
I've mostly been working on world-building and characterization this week, but I did bang out a few words on a novel and brainstormed ideas for another short story.

Managed a little tonight, but I don't know what's more unusual; I wrote, or the baby went to sleep.

I got a little done. Developed ideas for three novels and started world building on two, to see which interests me more. Polished up two stories and sent them out.
