Way to go. And I can speak without envy because I just passed twenty thousand words in the novel I started just two weeks ago. It may not be as much as some of you, but it's by far the best novel start I've had so far this century...

Congrats! I'm very jealous. I wish I had the time to get that far...maybe when I retire in 30 years or so.

That is cool! Looking forward to seeing your name emblazened on the cover of a new novel at bookstores across America! -Jason

Well, providing I actually learn your real name, I'm sure I'll buy a copy of your book. Congratulations on 50K!

I was really proud of myself for finishing my first novel at 30,000. A massive rewrite/retooling turned it into a 70,000 word novel. My second novel, I just couldn't shut up and in its current incarnation clocks in at 140K!!!!!! It's a stand alone fantasy novel, but I think I need to trim it a bit.

Congrats, man. 50k isn't easy for anyone to get to, especially if it's only half way through. I'd like to be able to hit 50k soon, but I'm only at 11k now.
