Does anyone know anything about this at all? Do people actually read e-books, for example? Is there any way to gain money or, more importantly, a name through an e-book publisher? Basically, is it worth the effort or is it traditional publisher or bust?

I read ebooks of traditional books and magazines on my PDA. I can't shake the feeling that if someone isn't willing to put up the money to print a book that it probably isn't worth reading. It's a paper-prejudice and I haven't actually read any e-book, which only exist in that form, so I don't know that I'd trust my judgement on that. On the other hand, I might be a representative sample of the reading population.
