It can be quite useful, actually.

I remember the semi-electric effect that the character named "Dubauer" (sp?) had on me in Diplomatic Immunity. That was probably one of the most effective uses of a "cookie" I'd ever come across. Maybe it counted as "chrome".

Anyway, a helpful list of useful tricks and not-so-useful tricks. I wouldn't critique with it in hand, but it is a good thing to read when you need some ideas on what to do (or not do) next in your narrative.
