I took a look at a lot things that have been recently posted and this site has been a major influence and help on my work as of late and because of this I remember a good deal of what’s been posted. We’ve talked about things like word count, manuscript form, POV, flashbacks, sexual tension, etc.
Is it the nature of the board that makes us worry about everything or do all writers ask these questions. No ass-kissing here, but I’ve been ready to post a question and before I can someone asks the same question. My question is… Are we all hypochondriacs or is this just the nature of an author?

I think that, for the most part, the sorts of things you listed are just all parts of the writing thing. Since people on the board are interested in writing, they are interested in said topics. So, hence we talk about them.
So not so much a hypochondriac situation as just things of general interest to writers.

I guess it's simply that the markets, and acquiring a publishing contract, can be such tough goals that any writer aiming that way wants to ensure they are doing things right. Posts: 286 | Registered: Jun 2002

Just so no one misunderstands I was also referring to myself as a hypochondriac. Someone will sk a question and like 50 others we'll come to my mind.
