Two sentences stood out to me (apart from my disagreement with OSC that Cumberbatch is avoiding playing Sherlock Holmes in the film) - "...if the film increases our rapport with Asperger's sufferers as well as with lonely young homosexuals, I can't think of that as a bad thing." Additionally: "...So along with a beautiful telling of the tale of Turing's childhood friendship with his first love, a kind boy named Christopher."
While I tend to agree with OSC's political beliefs more than most of the posters here, I also thought that these elements of the film were well done, and was glad to see him highlight them in his review.
(Please let me know if posting sentences from the reviews is not acceptable. Thanks!)
