I am always looking for tips on tv shows or movies. So maybe the few people that are still checking in have some suggestions for me.
Currently I am watching three shows, kind of switching between them.
- Community. Only the final season to go for this one. - The Mentalist. Rewatching this, just finished the fourth season. - Thundercats. Childhood nostalgia, but really it holds up kinda well. Thoroughly enjoying it.
Some of the shows that I still plan to watch (read: I already bought it, but haven't watched it yet):
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Aquarius s.2, Absentia s.2, True Detective s.3, The Spiral.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but Dark is seriously impressive. The final season dropped a month or so ago, and I was mostly pretty happy about how it all played out.
It's the sort of show I feel like Hatrack might have been all over if it had come out in the forum's heyday. It's a clever, snappily written time travel show with some great characters and a tense atmosphere.
My only real complaint is that the pacing can be a little off at times, occasionally going from plodding to rushed, but mostly this is a minor issue. Overall, it's a great show that I'd recommend pretty unreservedly here.

I started watching a show called "The Mole" recently. Ten strangers are taken to an exotic location where they compete with and against each other in various challenges to put money in a common pot. However, one of them is the mole, who is pretending to be a contestant but is actually working with production to sabotage contestants and keep money out of the pot. At the end of each episode, the contestants take a test where they have to guess the identity of the mole. The person with the lowest score goes home. The mole never does. At the end of each season, the person who knows the most about the mole wins the money.
I would recommend starting with Seasons 1, 2 and 5 of the U.S. version. Full episodes can be found on YouTube.

Yeah, that show is very popular over here. There's been 20 seasons so far. A lot of people get really into it, trying to figure out which one of the contestants is the mole. So while I'm aware of the concept, I have to admit I've never seen an entire episode (let alone a whole series).

I finished Community about a month ago. I thought the last two seasons were significant downgrades over the earlier stuff, but there were still occasionally great things.
I also just pseudo-watched the Mentalist. I didn't want to invest myself in watching all the episodes, so instead I just watched every episode with >8.5 rating on IMDb. It was a nice was to quickly skip through and get the highlights.
Other things I'm watching: The Last Dance, Endeavour, The Good Place (waiting for S4 to drop on Netflix next month), Brooklyn 99.

I am very afraid that The Good Place S4 will only drop on Peacock streaming and I won't get to see it before I go to the actual good or bad place

I am waiting for The Good Place s.4 to be available on disc.
Endeavour is the prequel to Inspector Morse, right? That is something I'll have to check out.
Currently contemplating purchasing complete series box sets of Futurama and Samurai Jack. Of the latter I have seen only parts of episodes, but it has such a good reputation.
Besides that, I am curious about the show Justified. Anybody know that one?
ETA: Just bought the Samurai Jack Complete Series on Blu-ray.

It's coming to Netflix Sept 24. Not sure if that's an option for you...

Yes, although the treatment is pretty different. In Morse, he's a bit of a curmudgeon, rogue, maverick. In Endeavour he's much more the keenly insightful, bright-eyed young investigator (with an urbane, Oxford University background). Personally I like the Endeavour version better (but that's probably also due to the significant improvement in production values over the last 25 years).

I've been into Criminal Minds recently. Mainly because I liked Patinkin in Homeland and the characters he plays are similarly authoritative and kind of amusing in a campy sort of way.

I am also watching Criminal Minds. While I have seen some random episodes on TV, I did not follow that show. Now I have started from the beginning and I am almost done with season 5. Only ten more seasons after that... Also watching Futurama from beginning to end for the first time. It's one of those show I am very familiar with, but because I watched it on Comedy Central, the episodes were aired in random order. And lastly, I have just acquired Star Trek: Picard on Blu-ray, so that is something I'll be watching in the near future (probably after season 5 of CM).

I absolutely loved this movie! The scenes with Godzilla and Kong were amazing, the CGI was STUNNING, and the fight scenes were awesome.
