I think I'll let this thread sit until a few others on that thread have read my opinion. Perhaps they'll read their comments with a slightly different view of how others may interpret them.

There is a difference between "voicing opinions others won't agree with" and actively campaigning for the repression of an entire class of people.
Not that I'm a fan of name calling either, but having been apart of the thread you are calling for the deletion of, and having read each and ever post with in it, I can't seem to recall any post having name calling except the one that Blade is dealing with.
What exactly should we be ashamed of?

I keep wanting to read the OP as a poem, given its formatting. And then I wonder why it doesn't rhyme.

Man, if everything that really is supposed to be read as a poem rhymed, I'd have a lot more interest in poetry.

Aspectre, I could really understand Snuggles first post, the disappointment and how upset he was after reading that article. I do think it's ok to express that feeling on this forum.
What happens next in Snuggles thread is exactly the same that happens nowadays in many other Hatrack forum threads, so then you could just as well ask the moderator to delete those threads as well.

Exactly. Which is why I posted, and will continue to post, that he is dangerously misguided. I know precisely how that will be read. That's how I want it.

And again. This.
You're talking about the unborn, right?
By the way, I'm campaigning for "Most Unpopular-But-Still-Unbanned Jatraquero After Orson Scott Card." Vote for me, and I promise to retire Cedrios' username forever!

Have we determined that the unborn are people? Does "not having the right to another person's body" equal repression these days? "I'm repressed! I demand one of your kidneys!"
You are ultimately too "nice" to be that unpopular. And I doubt that too many will judge you harshly for being loyal to your friend.

He's kind of a bit harsh when it comes to his opinions, OSC. He has the right to express them, but I have the right to point out that it is ridiculous to keep tormenting gay people because YOU don't believe they should have rights. It makes me angry. I will speak out.
