Now, in general I'm dissatisfied with the rom-com flicks Hollywood churns out. But this new Amy Adams flick looks like it has something special.

You know, I hate to sound petty about this, but I didn't find the trailer all that funny -- and I love the Muppets and Amy Adams. It was paced just a bit too broadly, with too much of a "beat" after every joke. I worry that the movie will be set up that way, too, with space for a cymbal crash any time someone says something mildly amusing.

There were two jokes in an 84 second trailer. Everything else was the fake rom-com set-up and rapid-fire clips from the production numbers. The first joke won't be in the film itself.
Maybe wait for a trailer with more content from the actual film?

I am a huge Jason Segel fan, despite little camera time in SLC Punk he really stuck out in my opinion. Segel plus muppets, Im in. I just hope that turns out better than my faith in Jason Lee in regards to Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Er, Puffy, Tom's worry is a spot on description of every Muppet movie ever. Joke BEAT HAHA Joke BEAT HAHA WINK AT THE CAMERA. It's not a stretch to expect this one to be the same.
