So I've been 'inactive' for a while, probably close to 4 years now, lurking for the last two, not really posted much in that time, but Papa Moose suggested I share this here.
Life is great right now, I have beautiful wife, a wonderful little girl (now 11 months old) and we just bought our first home. The home is quite old, but we got a great deal, and what 's best is the 2+ acres of land that came with it. So we are redoing lots of the home, the whole kitchen, bathroom, all the ceilings, and flooring, and painting.
We bought our kitchen cabinets online at RTA Cabinet Store, and they are having a contest for $4,000. Last minute my wife and decided that we may as well try, they weren't listing any entries, and if we were the only one, it'd be simple to win. Didn't end up quite that easy, they didn't post any entries until voting opened, so we are competing against 17 others.
I know my video isn't great, and my kitchen isn't finished yet, but it's what I had time for in 45minutes before the entry deadline!

I suspect, Armoth didn't need us. At least, if we are responsible for the majority of his view count, we were really slacking off on the Moose family vacation vote.

Voted. Of the 16 other entries, 3 are ahead of Zevlag: very roughly, about 300, 400, and 500 point leads. We need votes!
It says one vote per IP address, not per person. I take it that it is okay to vote again if you happen to be at a different IP address (e.g., an internet cafe)?

What I'm wondering is whether or not it's one vote per IP per day.
And yeah, I'd say different IP address means it's ok to vote again. Home, work, library, cellphone, restaurant/coffee hot spots, every unsecured network in the neighborhood....

CT, there's a list on the right showing the leaders.
Computer labs sometimes share IP addresses, and sometimes do not. I think most often they do, though.

Yeah, as I said, I'm sure what you wrote is right. I was flipping through to see what else was up and noted the outstanding ones; didn't see (or look for) either the formal list or those that were close.
My point was that the goal for helping him was a stretch but definitely within range for a concerted effort. I was lax and hurried in posting and you corrected me, and I agreed. with you. My thanks for the timely correction.
I'm now agreeing with you again. And still encouraging everyone to vote!

I am in a frenzy of misreadings and misunderstandings. I cannot access that website right now, as my computer keeps timing out (graphics heavy pages and some sort of connection problem -- my sweetie will fix it).
I am sure you are right because I count on you to be careful and meticulous in matters of fact. I like to be so myself. I find it discomforting to be incorrect in print, but much less so if the error is noted than not, as the latter case is so much worse. So, thank you, and when I go back to the site, I will look there.

edited to add: I am so tired lately, and I've been careless about many things. But even taking the trash out leaves me exhausted. It'll work out one way or another, but meanwhile, I'm afraid I'm a bit of a schlub mentally and physically.

I was speaking of these things in the abstract. I don't even have a laptop (or any desktops using wireless connections), and my cell plan doesn't have internet. I plan to vote from the library tomorrow, though.

Out of curiosity, if I went to school tomorrow and voted from the school's computer, would each terminal have a different IP address, or would the all share one?
If they're different, I'll vote from every computer in the student union.

It's possible. But, some schools use NAT (private, internal IPs that map to a single public IP) in different buildings, so it might not work.
My employer has 8 or 16 public IPs, I think. I briefly considered how many votes I could generate, before realizing that the boss might not appreciate my surfing activities on critical servers.

Yeah, Lyr, I wondered the same thing. I'm hoping at least to get a few votes in from my office computer, the grad computer lab, and the regular computer lab, but we'll see.

Thank you all for your help! I really appreciate it.
I think I have a real chance of getting ahead, I still have many people in my neighborhood and church I've not reached out to for votes yet, so every extra vote helps!
In Utah, in most Universities, schools and libraries, each computer has a unique public IP, not behind NAT. (Thanks UEN!) So yes you could vote on each one.
Sadly it is only once per IP address ever, not once per day.
A direct link to voting is this URL, you should change the random number on the end for the sake of server logs:

voted 3 more times from other people's computers. 4 total. Sorry, that's the best I can do. Maybe I will take my laptop around town on Monday and see if I can add to that.
