So, a year or two I found a pretty neat chart on the interwebs that showed most of the world's major religions' stances on various hot-button issues - things like sex before marriage, euthanasia, suicide, homosexuality, etc. It didn't delve into any of the topics very deeply, but it gave you a good jumping off point about where each religion stood on the issues. Sorta like this chart but for many more issues.
Anyone else heard of this chart? My googlefu is failing me, and has been for the past couple of days. Hatrack seemed like a good place to ask.

I'm curious too, so if you do kill the Mayfly, I would appreciate a copy of the URL to the chart.

That's a bad page, anyway. It's entirely wrong about the Orthodox Jewish view of orientation. Yes, there does exist one such view, but it's an extreme minority view (as in one rabbi).

I was wondering about that, Lisa. I was under the impression that as far as the Old Testament was concerned, attraction wasn't considered sinful--only the acts were. Am I wrong on that?

You're right. And not even all acts. The verse they cite there refers only to anal sex between men. But of course, Judaism isn't based just on the written Torah.

Well, that's not the chart I'm looking for, just an example of the type this one was. Guess I'll keep searching.

Nope - the one I'm thinking of (imagining?) didn't have any details on practices, just a rundown of the views on these specific issues. There weren't always details - sometimes (a lot of the time for Buddhism) the chart would say that the religion had no (textual) opinion.

Okay, so, searching delicious links lead me to this chart, which I think most have been what I was remembering it - although I remember it as having links to back up what was claimed, and not being so obviously wrong. Perhaps an update on this chart that was taken down... or I could just have misremembered.
I suspect Hatrack could do a better job than the "experts" who were consulted for this chart.

While those sorts of charts can be helpful, I think that they can also be misleading as they must ignore the often wide diversity of opinion within various religions.
