So, I've decided I want to plant some variety of Sakura tree in my new yard. I've been Googling it extensively and am leaning toward Yaezakura Cherry Blossom or the Weeping Cherry Tree. The Yeazakura is supposed to bloom multiple times a year, and in winter at that, and the Weeping gets rally big and is just beautiful.
Anybody have a Sakura tree? Have any recommendations or pictures? Calling all hatrack greenthumbs which one should I buy? Is their any not so well known info I should know ahead of time?

We've been looking at Kwanzan's. They're beautiful and pricey.
We had a beautiful weeping cherry in NC. They can get really overgrown and look a little tooooo weepy if not trimed. Mr. Tammy usually has no problem trimming trees and shrubs, but for some reason he was hesitating on trimming our weeping cherry. It's a little intimidating to trim.
I was confused on the differences between Sakura's and regular cherry trees, this site is helpful and informative.

Yeah I feel the same way. I cant make a decision. I'll probably end up going with one of the hardier variates, since Michigan winters can be pretty tough.

This gave me an instant image of a tanned, well muscled guy wearing a pale pink tank top and mirrored sunglasses, with slightly feathered sandy colored hair. Circa 1986.

Just got back from Chicago, visited Osaka Garden while I was there. It gave me some great Ideas. That place is beautiful, but I wish it would have been in full bloom.
