I tried installing wordpress to my website, www.scogrowth.com. To do so, I used fantastico's automatic installation feature.
Unfortunately, while everything installed fine, when I go to the admin page, http://www.scogrowth.com/blog/wp-login.php, and enter the correct information, it won't let me log in.
In fact, it doesn't do anything at all. It just refreshes.

Have you tried the recover lost password thingie? I'd try that first - you might have typed something incorrectly, use caps, etc.
If that doesn't work, I'd look in the WP database for the correct password - if you have access to to the database & if you know how to access/check it.
If not, I'd uninstall and then re-install WP.

I am not at my computer with ftp control, so I tried resetting my password. That didn't get an email resetting it. (BTW, did I mention I love you fugu? )

You're going to want to do the database-level things. Do you have phpmyadmin or similar access to the database?

I did the phpmyadmin thing and changed the password. It still didn't let me log in. It just reloaded the page.

And you made sure you were using the same username as well? Do you have any sort of cookie blocking going on? What do the logs say when you make a login attempt?

Yes, same user name. Not sure why my computer would block cookies from that website and not others. My logs? Not sure how to access them.
Argh! Does everything seem properly resolved on the website? www.scogrowth.com/blog doesn't work - does that mean anything?

Yeah, it probably does. You're getting an infinite loop of redirects. Apparently this can happen with an upgrade of a previous wordpress install, and also in other situations.
(I assume you have access to the wordpress plugins directory).
And you'll find it extremely useful to be able to get at your logs, so I suggest investigating how to get at those as well.

I figured it out; the problem had something to do with .htaccess. Sigh. Thanks fugu13 you're the best. Remind me to send you an Xmas present or something nice sometime.
