For a renters insurance claim to be processed? Weeks? Months? It seems like a pretty clear cut case. We have pictures of the few damaged items and invoices for the stuff that was stolen. So theoretically there's not much if anything up for dispute and it shouldn't take too long, right?

Unfortunately, Orincoro is probably right. Insurance companies in general are notoriously slow to pay on claims.

Last time I had to claim on renters insurance it took about 4 months and that was with my nephew the lawyer hounding them for me.
