I mean, I don't like getting spam. Who does? Other than the people who make videos out of the word salad spam, I mean. Those are cool.
But what I hate is when spammers use my domain. I own my own domain, and I set up a catchall address, because (a) people misspell things sometimes, and (b) I originally only had five mailboxes on the server, and if I wanted to use others, I had to use a catchall address.
So periodically, evil spammers send out batches of spam from something at my domain. Sometimes the something includes my name, and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it's just a bunch of random letters followed by @mydomain.
But every single address they send spam to that's either got spam protection or doesn't exist bounces. To me. When they're on a roll, I can get a few hundred bounces a day. Today they were all from the Netherlands.
What's particularly fun is when someone gets the spam and e-mails me demanding that I take them off my list. I write back explaining the situation, but it doesn't really help.

If you're just getting a couple hundred, you should consider yourself luck. Some folks with your problem get many thousands.
