paid for by my supervisor's grant! Yay! 19-inch widescreen. It replaces an old clunker that was probably Cold War surplus. Russian surplus, that is - it weighed a ton. Also a nice new ergonomic keyboard, but that needs admin privileges to install, sigh.

I got a 24" widescreen LCD at home a couple weeks ago. It's almost TOO big as a computer monitor. But not quite. Also it has video inputs and good quality integrated sound, and it was only $300. (Refurbished). It's doubling as the bedroom TV set (hooked to a DirecTV receiver). If someone wants to buy a large LCD this is the one I'd recommend.

I'm jealous scifibum. I thought my 20" screen on my iMac was big, but it's looking smaller every time I see things like your link.
I know I shouldn't be complaining about a 20" screen. . .
KoM, awesome dude. CRT monitors suck, especially the old ones. They're just too large, hot and heavy.
