Um...any lingering questions on whether The Dark Knight will be "fun for the whole family" have been answered, I think.
Then again, in the past few months I've seen parents bringing tiny children into Cloverfield and The Orphanage, then act shocked when the tykes begin screaming. I'm sure many will think- "Batman...comic book and cartoon show, right? Yup, perfect for little Billy's 7th birthday party!"
Anyway, looks like Nolan is definitely pushing things much farther in this installment.

That doesn't even look physically possible with modern day makeup. Prosthetics of that magnitude wouldn't be so seamless with his actual face.
That is unless Eckhart's been running around with half his skull covered in green and they're doing it entirely CGI.
