My google-fu is usually quite good. But I'm having troubles today. I'm trying to look up information on the risk of hearing loss as a result of oral surgery/tooth extraction. I know it's a risk because the oral surgeons all have you sign a waiver about it before surgery.
I'm having trouble finding anything--except a person who asked a forum if any of them had suffered hearing loss after a tooth extraction. (They hadn't.)
Any suggestions on what I can search for? I'd like to see some statistics, if they're available, maybe some personal stories about people who had the problem, and any articles.
(Alternatively, any oral surgery experts who might know something?)

Thanks. That's not what I'm looking for, though. This has to do with nerves being cut or other such cutting damage where the roots of the teeth are. I had to sign a waiver about this when I had my wisdom teeth out, as did my husband when he had a few teeth out.
Did we dream this??
(I'm going to be away for a long while--days, perhaps.)
