I had a dream, and it was a wonderful dream. Epic in scope, and grandly cinematic - when the solar panels on the alien spaceship blossomed out like an evil flower so it could begin its bombardment, my heart caught in my throat; and I actually wept when the defending battleship caught up and began destroying the aliens, along with the humans who were caught on board. (Quite literally, I woke up in tears.) But now I can't remember what made their sacrifice so noble! What the devil were they doing on an alien spaceship in the first place? And for that matter, what had the Finns done to so annoy the aliens? Ack. If I could only remember, I'd write it down and publish it, and make millions of science-fiction readers weep with me.
