I need to stay awake for 35 minutes to watch Fullmetal Alchemist at 1:00. Anybody want to keep me company?

I had seen the series a while back, and it is good, but I recently watched the movie, and it is not so much. A few decent parts, but overall a waste of space.
So I hope you're watching the series
An even better series with a similar name is Full Metal Panic (watch the original first, then Fumoffu, then the Second Raid, then the OVA on the Second Raid DVDs).

I saw part of the movie online, and I tend to agree, it wasn't super special, but from what I've heard it did set it up so that the series could continue the anime in the future under new leadership.

Well, theoretically, but I think that would probably be a bad thing . . .
Also, the possibility of the anime continuing was still there at the end of the anime in the first place. Possibly even moreso, as a continuation based on the movie would cheapen some of the few touching/good parts of the movie.

I haven't seen it all the way through, so I wouldnt know. But with how the series ended, they would have needed something big to get things back to a place where it could continue with the brothers. Well either that or they just magically undo what they did at the ending of the series, but I think that would be pretty cheap.

FMA was good. the movie was an OK continuation, and decent as far as anime movies go. ones based on series never really turn out great, with few exceptions. i've glanced at its manga and the story is actually a little different.
i saw FMP, but thought it was just OK. im not really into big robots much.
