I can't believe this. I saw the story on the news last night and was dumbfounded. What the heck were they thinking? Of course, they claim that it isn't true, that the little girl is just rolling her eyes back in her head on instructions, and they were just joking about giving her X. I don't believe that for a second, not after watching the video. What do y'all think? Do you believe them at this point?
I think they should be held until the tests come back (although I've heard that the longer after dosage, the harder it is to get an accurate test, so the ecstasy might be out of her system already.) Anyone have any opinions on what the punishment for this type of thing should be? I'm inclined to think the child should be removed from the family and some serious charges should be brought against them.
Regardless, this is seriously messed up.

I'd believe they gave it to her. My mom used to work child abuse and she saw all kinds of cases involving drugs, including the guy who injected cocaine into an orange, fed it to his 5-year-old, and almost killed him (he never recovered all his brain function.)

My google skills are failing me, 'cause I can't find any info on blood tests for ecstasy. If they do a urine test it'll likely be out of her system in three days, which have probably already passed. If they do a hair test, which isn't very common that I know of, it will be evident for 90 days.
I dunno, I've been reading more of the stories, and I can't believe the media is just willing to take the other girls' word on this and call it a hoax. But then, maybe they really are telling the truth, in which case that is the most passive kid I've ever seen and everyone else in the car are amazing actors.
