I asked one particular movie buff friend of mine- he said that meant I gave a lot of thought to the resilience of the human spirit- which is true I generally do.

I'd like to think of myself as an optimist and am for the most part. I am visually oriented for certain. I do seem to get distracted by everything around me- and yeah I've always kind of wanted to live in a rural utopian kind of world.
How did you get that from my movie choices? Or did you just BS it?

Steve, I'm gonna guess that your movies say you wish the world was a better place. That we need humor to save us from the dark things we've seen.
My Top 5:
The Shawshank Redemption Legend of Bagger Vance Cry, the Beloved Country Last of the Mohicans The Little Princess
Cry is the only movie I've liked better than the book. It was the same thing, slightly less wordy, and with pictures. I've never seen another adaptation done as well. (That I read the book it came from, anyway.)

2/3 movies were "hopeful". All are visually well crafted.Which in turn suggests you're naturally in-tune with that sort of thing.
A common trait of visual-spatials is easy distraction because they're highly aware of their environment, and notice things that don't even register on normal people's radar's.
2/3 movies have idyllic country sequences, but that's an afterthought. I did kinda bs that one.

Boy howdy. I'm twenty-four. I remember feeling old when I was eighteen. Heck, I remember feeling old yesterday. But the funny thing is, I look at actual old people, and I know I still have a lot to learn.

Luet what I meant was. Wow. I didn't mean it like that!
I'm saying is that I feel like I've been here forever (because I have been here from the beginning of my existence) and yet I realize that I am quite young. I was trying to say that believe me- we're young from the point of a peer.
Wow- that got really misconstrued.

No need to get defensive. I understood what you were saying and was, I thought, somewhat agreeing with you in a tongue in cheek kind of way.

there are loads more that i think define me as a person, but on a whim these 3 came to me first. hard to really classify yourself with only 3 don't u think?
EDIT: i think that a lot of the regulars here at hatrack are probably older than the ppl who have already posted. which, in my opinion, is part of the reason we have such a civilized forum.

I think giving your top 3-5 and which character you like the most would give away a lot more about your personality.
In no particular order
Shawshank, Tim Robbins LOTR, Sam Harry Potter, Harry Potter Tombstone, Doc Holiday Star Wars oringal trilogy, Harrison Ford

No I wasn't being defensive- I just had reread what I wrote and realized that it sounded like I may have seriously miscommunicated my point in such an absurd manner that I actually laughed out loud.

I've always found people older than me to be old and people younger than me to be young. I, however, have been the perfect age for the past 22 and a half years.
My Top 5 favourite movies:

jay, i think it says that u like cheap gags in movies, or cute humor. dont mistake the word "cheap" with "bad."
i think we should do more guessing of character, instead of just listing. i think it sfun to guess, and ppl might think its fun to see what othersr say based soley on movie titles.
