I'm interested to see how the conversation will go. Whether it'll be the same old things I've been hearing in all his interviews over the last year, or whether they'll be some new and interesting stuff. That was by no means a dig at Terry Gross, just that I don't know if there's anything new and different to ask or talk about that hasn't been covered in the countless other interviews he's done. If anything, it's a compliment to her, being that the main reason I AM excited about this interview is because it's with Terry...who is awesome!

I heard part of it, particularly concerning how we may or may not have developed the golden rule school of civility. I don't necessarily agree with how he portrayed it, but it is observable even today that people tend to have a different method of dealing with their perceived community or peers than they normally do those whom are considered outsiders. That dynamic, however, could be the subject of a whole nother debate. I didn't find the rest of the conversation drastically different from his other interviews, except there was very little disagreement going on.

Terry Gross is the host of a show on NPR called Fresh Air. She interviews authors, musicians, actors, directors, scientists, politicians, and more. She's really aware, and conducts really interesting engrossing interviews, usually with pretty interesting people.
She's local to Philly Javert, and broadcasts from WHYY.
