http://www.grisoft.com/promo/upgrade-to-avg-75-free75cnv/ for those who didn't know that the old version of the freeAVGantivirus is expiring on 18February.

Might wanna change your title to "Heads up for computer users" or something similar to alert folks as to what this thread is about.

So that's what all those auto-updates were for yesterday? I wondered, but forgot to check 'em out. Thanks, Stormy.

I don't know why, if they were going to screw with it, they didn't just abolish it. I thought the argument behind not abolishing it was that our toaster ovens were going to rise up and kill us all in our sleep.

But maybe this is a dry run. Resist or the bastards will be having ye on the metric system, where we won't recognize the sign of the beast!

I guess I am related to Survivor if you hit me on the wrong topic.

I wanted to do it where you'd go back and forth by ten minutes a month. That would teach those pesky toaster ovens [Wink]

This is coming from a company that, up until XP, had the "perpetual daylight savings" bug: if you're using the computer when it's time to roll back one hour, do so and continue to use it (without rebooting or manually setting the time), it will remind you *again* in an hour. And again... and again... and again...
