Doctor: I have some tragic news about your wife, and about your life-threatening disease. Joe: WHAT IS IT????? Doctor: I'm afraid to say that your wife is completely fine. Joe: So why did you scare me? Doctor: Because in aobut 5 seconds she's going to try and kill you. [WIFE comes in and kills JOE] Doctor: That's the end of that. Wife: God, this screenplay sucks. Screenwriter: Well, that's half the point. Wife: *beep* You! Doctor: *beep* You! [DOCTOR and WIFE kill SCREENWRITER] Doctor: What now? Wife: Why don't we end it? Doctor: Because there's no good way to end it. [Suddenly, a NINJA jumps in and kills them both. WIFE, as a final act, kills NINJA.]

I purposely avoided reading the thread, as I'm trying to remain spoiler-free, but when your thread TITLE is a potential spoiler, a spoiler warning isn't exactly helpful. Can you edit the title, please?

It's likely that Tarrsk didn't really actually read what was in the thread, thinking it was spoileriffic, and immediately scrolled to the bottom to post about changing the title.

This is actually rather scary. We can't brand him a spammer or a troll, because that's how he labels himself. We can't shoot him down, because he freely admits to being low. Telling him to leave don't work, because it only helps him. Ignoring him won't work, because he's not looking for attention, and he'll just continue to spam the first page.
How do you kill that which has no life?
(Ten points to whoever gets that reference.)

I imagine ignoring him, and then if he spams egregiously, asking to have the account deleted would work.
Ignoring is generally good if the situation is set up so that compromise is impossible. With ignoring, the ball is in his court: if he keeps going, he saves face, but it takes a lot of effort for very little, and there is no point at which he can stop without losing face (and this becomes a Sisyphean task). If he stops, he loses face.
It can become mildly amusing in a disinterested sort of way, but only if people actually ignore. But they never do a good ignore like they used to, not anymore. Ah, them was the days ...

CT, I was making a joke that culminated in a hilarious reference. If you don't get the reference, you probably don't get the joke.

The first face transplant (Nov 2005) -- from one person to another -- was remarkably successful. Her face was chewed off by a dog, and she never went without a mask in public. The story of how the face tissue became available is quite sad, though.
