While the first Fantastic Four was pretty bad, the trailer has me pretty excited, not to mention that the story arc involving the Silver Surfer and Galactus is one of the most popular in comic history.

If you're going to need it more than 3 or 4 times it's far more economical.
I hate the whole Galactus story line. Silver Surfer is cool, though. (And yes, that's pretty much self-contradictory.)

Awww man, I forgot to watch that trailer last night. The Galactus storyline rocks if only for the episode of The Tick that spoofs it.

Considering the fact that you can buy a 100% wool one for $99.99 at JCPenney, who in their mind RENTS one these days? It looks good enough that the fashion guru's they had on The View guessed wrong and all picked the JCPenney one.
Unless you are looking for a rose colored one, in which case you have bigger problems.

Did that include shoes, shirt, studs/cufflinks, tie, and vest/cumber bun? Because, if it did, then I amend my 3 or 4 times to 1 or 2.

I just want them to retcon Reed Richards to be Welsh so I can hear Ionn Gruffudd's beautiful accent. Why hire a guy with an accent if you're going to make him sound American? I was so disappointed.
That and I kept waiting for the moment when he would make the heroic Horatio style decision and - through quick thinking and loyalty to his friends - save the day. Reed was kind of a weenie in the first one. Let's hope Ionn gets to do some acting worthy of his talents this time.

So what's with Silver Surfer going liquid metal? I don't remember that in the comics (I do remember him changing his board to liquid to get past Galactus' imposed Earth barrier, but I don't remember him actually going through it himself like in the trailer). Also, if he wants to hurt Johnny, why not just fry him with the power cosmic instead of choking him into orbit? I mean I know that's just picking nits, but if you're going to try and make the Silver Surfer into a bad guy fighting the Fantastic Four at least have him doing it right. Still despite these things, I'm excited for the movie. Silver Surfer is one of my favorite Marvel characters, and I think the Galactus storyline is one of my favorite ones for the Fantastic Four.

The last F4 movie caused me to realize that, as a general rule, if a scene "comes in" on a group of people laughing at something one of them has just said- because the scriptwriters couldn't be bothered to write dialogue that would make camraderie believable- it's a very bad sign for the movie as a whole.
Unless the reviews are stellar, I think I'd watch Ghost Rider before I'd watch another Fantastic Four movie.
Which is not to say I have huge hopes for Ghost Rider.

While I've never seen him do that (I have about 50-75 Silver Surfer comics), he certainly could. He often reforms his board when it is damaged by doing a sort of liquid metal thing.
He has a massive amount of power of manipulating matter and energy, but in the comics most writers seem to ignore that. I actually welcome the FF writers using some imagination.
Of course, as a fan, you know all that .
I don't know why he brought Johnny into space. I wonder if he showed him some sign of Galactus' coming before dropping him. His is the "Herald" after all.

Just waiting for the Torch to flameout due to blackout, then ridding himself of the pest without killing it. Kinda like catching a fly that's buggin' ya indoors, then tossin' it outside insteada smashing it.
