You will note, though, that you need to tell people that it's a hoax. This suggests that, as a parody, it's not so far off the mark as all that.

Actually, it's just slightly farther than the real ones go.
I've read a few websites by the real fanatics, and the level of insanity in those sites is nearly as extreme as in this hoax site. The only difference is that this site goes just far enough to hint lightly that they don't take themselves seriously.
When I read this site, and before I looked down to check, I thought "it has to be a hoax. They're ridiculing the other sites I read, they're not actually part of them." Still... King of Men is right, it's not far away.
People really do follow only the KJV, they really do say women can't wear pants, they really do talk about most of the more absurd laws, etc.
They just don't take it quite as far as this site does.
