Two weeks ago my doctor told me I have two ingrown toenails. The nail opened the skin, and let in an infection. At first my mom thought it was just an infection, so I poured peroxide on it every day, until my aunt saw it. She told me to soak it in epsome salts, about three times a day. That all happened between now, and April. Finally we went to the doctor and he said I had two ingrown toenails. Today we went to the foot doctor, and he checked it out. He said he cut off the infected part, and cut the nail. I was given three shots of the numbing stuff. Novicane, I think. There's a chance the infection'll come back, and I'm scheduled to go in for another appointment on the 7th, and for another three hours, I can't feel my big toe.

You will be glad you got it taken care of. It may hurt a little more right now, but this pain pays off with you getting the ingrown nails cut out.

I had both big toes done at the same time. Hurt terribly for the rest of that day. No pain at all after that. I'll just say that they were really bad and not get into the disgusting details.
