For the past two days, I've had this metallic taste under my tounge. I can't think of a cause, and it won't go away. For some reason I think I remember it being a sign of a vitamin defficiency. Anyone know for sure?

Nope. Not aware of that being true for sure. It could be possible. I see stuff all over the internet suggesting B12 and zinc and other things.
I usually see it from using medications. Antibiotics are terrible culprits of metallic taste and other drugs do it too. So if you are on any new meds I'd investigate that first. And if you are not, try a multivitamin and then ask your doctor if it continues.

I've been drinking normal amounts of water, so I can't see how it would be dehydration. I'll start drinking more water, to be safe.
Edit: Theca: I haven't been on any meds, but I realized I have my yearly Doctor's visit shceduled for tomorrow afternoon, so I'll ask him and see what he thinks.

My Doctor said it is sometimes an after effect of an upset stomach. It's supposedly quite common for people with stomach ulcers to walk around with a permanent metallic tatse in their mouths. I must have had an upset stomach a few days before and had forgotten about it. That taste is gone now. Thanks for checking in rivka!
