Its an all out war now. In Florida a fish just killed a spearfisherman by getting the guy tangled up in the line the fish was shot with.

I heard about this an hour ago from a coworker, but wasn't sure I believed it until I read that article. Who could be such an idiot as to do something so completely antithetical to everything Irwin stood for in his name.
Not that that exact tendency in people isn't enshrined in events like all of the various crusades.

This reminds me of when Indian policeman started bruttaly assaulting a group of men at the back of one of Gandhi's marches (Gandhi set it up but he wasnt in the march) and when the people in the march saw what the policemen were doing they chased them back to their headquarters, burned them out and executed them. Quite a fitting tribute to the ideals Gandhi taught.
I agree its absolutely rediculous that people are killing stingrays as a form of retribution for Steve Irwin's death. I am sure Steve is more upset with those people then the stingray that got him.

Well, we can only hope that one of these people will mathematically better the odds by being killed by a stingray.

Wow that is crazy. Though I was also disturbed by hearing that people were upset that the crew that was filming the documentary about the Stingrays went back and finshed shooting the documentary. My thought was I think that is what Steve Irwin would have wanted.

I think I'm far more cynical than you guys. My first thought was that someone was collecting "the sting that killed the Crocodile Hunter" to sell on eBay.

The sad thing is, I can actually see that happening!
