Side pocket. Everyone I know that has had their wallet lost or stolen kept it in their back pocket.

30 years ago, I thought my "back was going out." I went to an orthopedist, who moved my wallet from the back to the side. I have had no symptoms since. Count me in the side pocket crowd.

I don't normally wear cargo pants, so typically my wallet is in the back pocket. I'm a bit obsessive about making sure it is always there. I really need to prune the cards that are in it, too, while I'm thinking of it. Basic black leather bifold, but when I go home next I might pick one up at WRV as this one is getting a bit threadbare.

How much did he charge you?

My wallet is as minimalist as I'm comfortable with: personal debit, business debit, Paypal debit, ID, AAA, health insurance, bus pass, that's it. No cash, no membership cards, nothing - if I'm going to Costco, Subway, Blockbuster, etc. I just bring the card with me from home.
And yes, back pocket. No, I've never lost my wallet, or had it stolen.

I'm just wondering if I'm in a vast minority that I also wear my wallet in my front/side pocket... can't get away with cargo pants at work very often, but the back pocket is just rediculously uncomfortable...

ooh, you almost got me with your nepharious identity theft scheme. I will never, ever, ever, tell you that I put my wallet in my back pocket, so you know where to steal it and my identity.

Now that it's summer, I have very few shorts with pockets. My wallet is in my purse. Back in the cold months, I kept my wallet in my back pocket. Money had been taken from my purse and I didn't want to leave it in there. When I sat down I could feel my wallet and know it was there. Of course, that didn't stop Tyler from trying...

Don't worry, there is nothing in your wallet one couldn't get elsewhere anyways.

Not enough to reduce the size of the wallet. I don't remember if doctors even charged back in the olden days.

Pool jokes aside, I keep my wallet in my bag a good bit of the time. If I'm carrying it in a pocket, which pocket it is depends entirely on what pants or shorts I'm wearing. If I'm wearing cargo pants or shorts, it always goes in a leg pocket. If I'm wearing jeans it goes in the back pocket, but I always take it out before I sit down. I hate sitting on my wallet.
In the winter, it lives in the breast pocket of my coat.

I usually keep my wallet in my front/side pocket and don't carry too much in it. Only the essential id, credit card and one picture. Rarely do I have any cash on me. Oh and I do have a wallet chain on it. I got it so that I wouldn't forget my wallet anywhere, as I have done that previously. That way if I do forget, it kinda comes with me anyways. Not having it stolen so easily is just an added benefit.

With my wallet in my hip pocket, I still tend to have mobility problems with my hips. The best place for me is in a mid-thigh pocket on my right side.

Currently, it usually resides in the "parent compartment" in the top tray of the double stroller.
If I go out with my husband, he has money and stuff. If I go out without him, he's usually at work, so I'm walking. That means the double stroller, and that means my purse is hard to access, being underneath the carseat with the back seat down. So wallet and keys go in the parent tray for easy access.

My wallet goes in my purse, but during the school year my purse stays in my bookbag. Thus, my keys, cellphone, school id, some chapstick, and a couple bucks live in amongst the front pockets of my jeans. Why do I need a purse again?

This seems more practical. Well, an even smaller actual "pack" area would be, but I couldn't find a picture of one.
I can't imagine why you think a one shoulder strapped bag hanging at the side is a good idea. Bad for posture, and would likely slip off without extra unnecessary effort, I assume.

Because the bigger my bag is, the more stuff will fit in it, and thus the more stuff I'll put in it, and the heavier it'll be.

That's why I said "an even smaller actual "pack" area would be"... And then there's side bags with the strap on one shoulder, and the pack hanging under the other. Can't find a pic of that though...

I just had a mild heart attack guys. I don't know why I put my wallet in the bottom drawer, but after six minutes of hunting, I found it. Now it's where it belongs. At least I won't have to go through that tomorrow when I go get groceries. Thanks guys.
Usually my wallet lives in my back pocket. I hate pants without pockets. Yet somehow designers of women's clothes think it's the way to go. I remember watching the Today show once and seeing people modeling white pants. The commentator complimented the fact that a pair didn't have back pockets because pockets make butts look fat. Sheesh. Some priorities.

I don't like pants without pockets either. I mean, where am I supposed to put my hands in her pants when they get cold?

I usually keep my wallet in my back pocket, when I have it with me at all. It's a pain in the butt, literally.
But I don't know where else to keep it.
Either way, I rarely keep my money in my wallet. Other than my driver's license and my VISA, I rarely use anything in it. I need to get a smaller wallet.
