CGI was chosen instead of clay because animating all the water in the film with clay proved cost-prohibitive.
I'm...unimpressed with what I see here. It's only a teaser, but it seems to lack the spark on associates with Aardman.
It seems like just another zany CGI animal flick in a year that already is up to its armpits in CGI animals acting zany.
