kidney stone? That sometimes hurts near the stomach, and it definitely is an intense stabbing pain that's only relieved by percoset, morphine or other doctor administered drugs.
Good luck! For your sake, I hope it's not kidney stones.

Only mine happens every 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 weeks and is accompanied by nausea, backaches, bloating, and a massive craving for chocolate.

It faded after I fell asleep, took 4 hours to fall alseep now its gone, it felt like some sort of lobster was atacked to the front of my stomach and whenever I was on my back the pain got worse. I had to do some ad hoc meditation to pretend the pain went away to trick myself to feel relief.

Your gas must be worse than mine ever has been, Xav. I second the "see a doctor" advice (if the pain comes back, of course).

Severe persistant abdominal pain can be due to a multitude of things, some benign and some not-so-benign. If it goes away and stays away, be relieved. If it comes and goes, see a doctor. If it comes and stays, go to the ER.
Your stomach pains can't be diagnosed over the internet -- you need a real doctor with real diagnostic tools to poke at you. Anyone who tells you that they think they know what you have is misguiding you -- pay them no attention.
I hope you feel all better!

Yeah, listen to the doc advocates and ignore my taunting. (My pain is diagnosed and known and therefore not a problem. Except in the sense that it's pain.)
