Relatively few, probably. And even fewer New Yorkers, I think. You might have better luck if you changed the thread's title to "Lestat - The Musical" or something.

I want to see it, mainly because Hugh Panaro has an absolutely amazing voice and I'd love to see him perform again.
But most of my fellow dramaturgy students start snickering when the show's mentioned. I'm not sure if it's the combination of Anne Rice and Elton John, or because the last two vampire musicals on Broadway (Dracula and Dance of the Vampires) were widely regarded as laughably horrendous, or maybe some other reason. I haven't read any of the reviews yet, but I have to admit the TV commercials I've seen for it made me giggle a bit, which I don't think was the intent. But I love musicals in general, and I'm always willing to give a new one a chance.
In any case, I'm going to see it if I can afford to. If I do, I'll let you know what I thought.

I'm looking forward to this one arriving in Chicago as well. No way could I afford a Broadway trip, but I can certainly do the next best thing.
