I'm not just talking those songs that get stuck in your head, I'm talking about songs/albums that pretty much go along with an extended period of your life, Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz style. So far I've had:
1.Symphony X's - The Odyssy age 0-19 2.In Flames' - Soundtrack to Your Escape age 20-almost 21
If I think about it more I'm sure I can break it down further, but I think that for now, anyone that has actually listened to those two albums can sort of feel what I've gone through. How about you?

The collected soundtracks from Cowboy Bebop. The mix of various styles of jazz, blues, and rock fit almost any mood for me.

Awesome taste Sacare. So many of those are on my lists of favorite albums.I ahve worn out my REM and Counting Crows albums. I love, love, love the Jushua Tree album but I don't find myself playing it as much as the others. I don't like Sheryl Crow at all but like BNL. Willie Nelson is always a favorite. He gets fairly good rotation in my ipod. I've never heard of Jamie Cullum but I like so much of the rest of your list I may have to give it a try.
I don't know that my life has a soundtrack. I am not quite that introspective most of the time. Currently, I am overly into romantic ballads because they all remind me of someone I love who is living far away at the moment.
