The war on terror goes on through several fronts. From Iraq to Pakistan, we search for Bin Laden. Around the globe we highten our security and our diligence.

However, the war will only be won once we win the hearts and minds of those who would otherwise decide to be our enemies.

On this front the US is trying various propagandistic methods to show the right of our cause.

We are not doing too hot.

One of the reasons we are not winning more hearts and minds is the foes we are fighting against. From Venezuella to Iran powerful leaders mock and ridicule the US. To them we are the Great Satan.

Actually, to those leaders we are the Great Distraction.

I believe a study done would show a correlation between the corruption and tyranny of a country, and the amount of Anti-American slogans they produce. Those countries know that the US won't come after them unprovoked, and name calling isn't enough provocation. So they hype their people up on the evils of the US and of the West in general, so those people don't get organized and complain about the local evils.

Isn't there a way we can strike back more loudly? Can we not advertise the fact that the louder they yell, the more they are hiding? If we disarm this distraction tactic, they will be forced to use another. Anti-US/West rhetoric will dwindle greatly.

If we can stop the organizations and countries that are using us as the "Great Distraction" then that is less Anti-US/Anti-West propaganda that would drive people to our terroristic enemies.
