I didn't think it would be possible for any government to do anything as silly-assed stupid as ours when Congress changed french fries and french toast to freedom fries and freedom toast.

I remember freedom fries. *giggles* The thing I always found really funny is that here in France the fries are said to come from Belgium.

I was quite amused by something The Sugar Beet did at the time about LDS teens showing their patriotism with "Freedom kissing". Since it wasn't French kissing, they now had carte blanche to kiss as much as they wanted...
(For those who don't know, The Sugar Beet is a satire mag much like The Onion but about LDS topics; now, sadly, offline-only.)
