This is just a glorified happy thread for me
Tomorrow, I get to go home! I'm going home for the weekend to get some proper football in my system, instead of the "our offensive line weighs the same as your linebacking corps" crap they've got going on here. I'll get to see family and friends and eat good food.
It doesn't even matter that I'm sick anymore. I'm just too happy to be going.
I'm also *this close* to finishing grading the stupid essays for the class I TA. I really should get off the computer and finish those up, but whatever. I've got all night! The essays are on the Iliad, and I've got a couple favourites: the one entitled "God, It Sucks to be a Mortal" and the one which compares Hektor to the Christ, Jesus.
If only the rest of them didn't suck.
But yes. Share the excitement and add your own! Not everything is doom-and-gloom, right?

Well, I'm just about done with my paper, and that means I'm done with homework for tonight. And tomorrow is Friday, which means I get to go to the Red Sox game that I've been waiting for all season! I get to go with my brother, who is just about my favorite person ever! Being sick isn't going to stop me; I'm determined to go!
Yay for happy threads!

I may (or may not) be getting a new guinea pig!
I have two males, their home is quite large (more than 2x4 ft) with ample room for a third. Guinea pigs are *much* happier when they are around more of their kind. The males get along as long as they are properly introduced in neutral territory and there are no females around--even their scent must be gone.
I've been watching freecycle on and off for people who are trying to find homes for guinea pigs. This one has two babies of unknown gender. I may go tomorrow to see if I can determine that at least one is male.
Unfortunately, if one or more is male, this owner may have a pregnant female on her hands. The males can be sexually mature as early as 3 weeks, and these are 3 *months* old. Most people don't think to separate the males from the mother so soon (don't even know they are males) and the mother is impregnated by her son.
Guinea pigs are such delightful creatures. They are the ideal pet for me.

The things I liked about having a guinea pig had little or nothing to do with incestuous reproduction.

More excitement: This is my last post until my landmark. You have officially been warned
Oh, and in even MORE exciting news, I finished grading the stupid essays, and I managed to alphabetize them - AND I tabulated the overall grades. I rule!

I have a little excitement for today. I got a new video game on Wednesday, and I have time to play it today and the rest of the weekend. Also, I'm going to go get Little Caesar's pizza today, which I like quite a bit. So I'm fairly excited for both of those things.
