This is kind of a left-field request, but I'm trying to track down Inniskillin wine, specifically the chardonnay (the ice wines are easy to find, who'd have thunk it). No one seems to carry it online, and I can't find it in any of my local stores. Anyone know of a place that has it that will/can ship to the U.S.?

According to their website the usa store is www.wine.com, which I bet you've already looked at. Unless you're in the Niagara region I don't know if you're going to be able to get your hands on a bottle.

Liquor sales are pretty much government-exclusive in most of Canada, which makes crossborder liquor shopping, particularly remote shopping by telephone or online (in either direction) something of a convoluted affair.

I've had good luck in things like this calling local distributors. . . like, find a place who carries the ice wine, ask who their distributor is, and call the distributor directly and ask if anyone in the area carries the chardonnay. If they don't, if you're willing to order a whole case they'll probably get it for you.

Thanks, all, I'll try some of your suggestions. I emailed one retailer in BC who seems interested in helping, so we'll see how that goes.
