I got moved up from the entry level position of "lacky" to the lofty status of "Restaurant Supervisor." Things are looking up for me; I can finally get a car. Look out all those places I wanted to go, for I will be able to go there now.
The only down side of this all is I have to get up at 0530 at least one day a week. It is like being at school all over again.

Congrats! And I wouldn't complain about 5:30; my dad used to do a 48-hour shift at the hospital so he could have the weekend off, get off at 3, drive through an hour and a half of traffic to pick us up from preschool and daycare, stay up until 11 or 12 reading to me, and then be awakened by my brother jumping on him at 5 in the morning the next day, just about every other Friday.
You don't know the meaning of sleep-deprivation!

Not at all. And enough coffee can get me through the 16 hour shifts I have to work from time to time. beyond that, there is plenty of napping.

I thought I was going to be in real trouble today, as I left the fryers on and they set off the heat sensitive alarm. But everything is Kosher!
