I recently learned how to play Settlers of Catan. In the past week I've probably played 20 games or so. If any of you haven't played this game before, rush out to your local gaming store and grab a copy. You won't regret it.

I think there were quite a few people playing this game back at KamaCon last year. Very popular.

How does it compare to Carcassone? That's currently my favorite game, my daughter and I play it often, and we try to get my husband and mom to play with us but they say they don't like it. They only say that because either I or Natalie always win.

It has settlers and seafarers, but no cities and knights (yet). You can host games or connect to other games through their portal. They have a ladder system. I've had a blast.
My co-worker also created a PBEM version of Cities and Knights. I play throughout the day (it doesn't take much time -- you get an email when it's your turn, you take your turn, and send it back out.)
